Jazz Under the Stars (JUTS) is the best Jazz festival in all of Western Howard County. It is also an end-of-school-year celebration for the Glenelg High School Marching Unit.

Yes. If the forecast is calling for rain or if it has been raining quite a bit and the farm is muddy, then the event will be moved indoors and to the Howard County Fairgrounds. map

Seating will not be provided. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs and/or blankets.

Tickets purchased in advance are $20. Tickets purchased at the door are $24. Children 5 and under are free...with an adult. ;)
You may purchase tickets by clicking the BUY TICKETS link at the top of every page. Also, tickets will be available at the event.
We recommend that you bring your printed ticket with you because this is the fastest way to check you in. If you forget your ticket, we can also check you in by name but this will take a little longer.
Yes, you may transfer your ticket to someone else but we will be scanning tickets at the entrance and each ticket may only be used once.
We do not offer refunds. However, you are free to give or sell your unused ticket to a friend.
All profits go to the Glenelg Marching Unit Boosters, a tax exempt non-profit organization whose sole purpose is to provide artistic and musical opportunity for the members of the marching unit at Glenelg High School.
The Marching Unit includes the Symphonic Band, the Color Guard, The Dance Team and the Jazz Ensemble.
Absolutely. You are welcome to bring your own food and beverages to the event. However, alcoholic beverages, including wine and spirits are strictly prohibited.
We will have several food trucks at JUTS. You can purchase a variety of food and drink items directly from them.

No. Cooking (gas grills, charcoal grills, hibachi grills, fondue fountains, open flames, etc.) on the grounds is strictly prohibited.
Yes, they are welcome. We will have a hospitality tent with fun activities for kids.
Children 5 and under will be admitted free of charge. everyone else will require a ticket for entry.
Our primary venue is on the pasture at Chapel View Farm. where the grounds are rolling and grassy. We provide golf carts for any patron who wants or needs a ride. The golf carts are available throughout the event so rides are available to and from the cars, the food, the seating, and the bathrooms for patrons who need them.
In the event of rain, we will move inside and to the Fairgrounds. The ground is flat and relatively smooth. We will not have the golf carts at the fairgrounds.
No. However, registered service animals are welcome.
